Connect Claude and other AI assistants

Isopenat has an MCP server. MCP is the open standard AI assistants use to work with other apps. Connect Claude, or any other assistant that supports MCP, and it can answer questions about your bookings, events and memberships, and make changes for you when you allow it. It works as you, with your permissions, and only in the organizations you choose.

Before you start

  • An Isopenat account with the Owner, Admin, Member or Reception role in at least one organization. Making changes takes the Owner or Admin role.
  • An AI assistant that supports MCP connectors. In Claude that is any plan; the Free plan allows one custom connector.
  • The server address, which you'll also find with a copy button under Profile › Connected apps: https://isopenat.com/api/mcp

Connect Claude

Claude on the web, desktop and mobile

  1. In Claude, open Customize › Connectors.
  2. Click Add custom connector, name it Isopenat, paste the address above and click Add.
  3. Click Connect. Claude opens Isopenat in your browser: sign in, then choose what Claude may access (see Choosing what it can see below) and click Allow.

The connector then works in every Claude app you're signed in to, phone included. To turn it on or off for one conversation, click + in the message box and open Connectors.

On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner first adds the connector under Organization settings › Connectors (Add › Custom, then the address). Everyone then finds it under Customize › Connectors and clicks Connect to sign in with their own Isopenat account.

Claude Code

Add the server from your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http isopenat https://isopenat.com/api/mcp

Then start Claude Code, run /mcp, select isopenat and sign in in the browser window it opens.

Other AI assistants

Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in can connect with the same address. It finds the sign-in page on its own; there is no API key to copy.

When you connect, Isopenat shows you a consent screen before anything is shared:

  • Where access goes: the web address the connection is handed to, such as claude.ai. Check it before you click Allow.
  • Organizations: every organization you can open the admin of, each with a tick-box. The assistant sees only the ones you tick.
  • Can make changes: a box under each ticked organization, shown when you are an Owner or Admin there. It is off by default, so a new connection can only read.

You can change all of this later without reconnecting: see Managing and disconnecting.

What it can do

Read

  • The calendar: bookings and event dates for up to 31 days at a time, and free time on each court, room or person for up to 7 days.
  • Bookings: search by name, email, phone, booking ID or invoice number, and the full details of one booking, payment and refunds included.
  • Events: your classes and courses, one date's participant list with attendance, your instructors, and multi-category event groups.
  • Setup: resources with their opening hours, booking rules, services, upcoming closures and pricing rules.
  • Memberships: plans, tiers and member counts, and each plan's members.
  • The waitlist: who is waiting, for when, and the most wanted times.
  • Money: the report summary and payment totals, and unpaid bookings to chase. Owner and Admin only, as in the admin.
  • The activity log: who changed what, and when. Owner and Admin only.

Change

Only where Can make changes is on and your role is Owner or Admin:

  • Bookings: create one, move it to another time or court, correct the customer's name, email or phone, record a cash payment, or cancel it.
  • Events: create a one-off or weekly event, change its name, capacity, price or pause it, move or cancel one date, change one date's capacity, price, instructor or courts, and add dates, rounds or a copy of an event group.
  • Participants: add someone to a date, edit their details, mark attendance, move them to another date, remove or restore them.
  • Setup: opening hours, closures, pricing rules, resource details and services.

Memberships, payment settings, your public page, team members and invoicing stay in the admin. The assistant can't take payments, send money or change who has access. Cancelling a booking or a date that was paid by card refunds the customer, exactly as it does in the admin.

Things to ask

  • "What's on tomorrow, and which courts are still free after 6pm?"
  • "Who hasn't paid for last week's sessions yet?"
  • "Courts 3 and 4 are flooded this morning. Close them and move the bookings to free courts."
  • "Here's a photo of today's sign-in sheet. Mark who came to the 6pm class."
  • "Raise every evening price by 10% and tell me the old and new prices."
  • "From January, run under-10s on Monday and Wednesday at 4pm, 90 minutes on Court 1, 8 places."

Safety

  • It can never do more than you can. Every request is checked against your current role. If you leave an organization or your role changes, the assistant loses that access on its next request.
  • It asks before anything that can't be undone. Cancelling a booking, a date or a round takes two steps: first it finds out who would be refunded and emailed, so it can ask you, then it acts. A booking outside opening hours or during a closure comes back as a warning it has to confirm with you, as in the admin.
  • You decide what Claude may do without asking. Every tool tells Claude whether it only reads or makes changes. Under Customize › Connectors you can set each one to ask for your approval first, or block it altogether.
  • Every change is in the activity log, under your name and marked with the app that made it.

Managing and disconnecting

Under Profile › Connected apps you see every app you've connected and the organizations each can reach. Turn Can make changes on or off per organization, or disconnect an app. Both apply to its next request. Disconnecting also signs it out, so it has to ask you again to come back.

To remove the connector from Claude, open Customize › Connectors, pick Isopenat and remove it.

Your data

When you ask your assistant something, it receives the answer: for example the names, email addresses and phone numbers of the people booked on a date. From then on, the assistant's provider handles that data under your account with them; for Claude, that is Anthropic. Connect only an assistant you're allowed to share your customers' data with. Isopenat keeps a record of each request (which tool, when, by whom and through which app) to run and secure the service. See the privacy policy for details.

Troubleshooting

The consent screen lists no organizations
Your account has no Owner, Admin, Member or Reception role anywhere. Coaches and accountants can't connect an assistant.
It says it can't make changes
Turn on Can make changes for that organization under Profile › Connected apps, and check that your role there is Owner or Admin. New tools show up in a new conversation.
It stopped working, or asks you to sign in again
The app was disconnected, or none of the organizations you chose is open to you any more. Connect it again from the assistant and choose your organizations.
