Frequently Asked Questions

Getting started

What is Isopenat?
Isopenat is a free booking platform that lets businesses create their own booking page where customers can reserve courts, rooms, or appointments online.
How much does it cost?
The platform is completely free to use. We only charge a 3.6% service fee on online card payments. Cash or in-person payments are 100% yours.
How long does setup take?
A few minutes. Sign up, name your business, add what people can book, and your booking page is live. Connecting a payment provider and fine-tuning prices and policies can wait until you need them.
What kinds of businesses is this for?
Anything booked by time. Tennis, padel and squash clubs, gyms and studios, salons and barbers, nail and beauty technicians, coworking and meeting rooms, driving instructors, therapists. If you have two booking styles in one place — courts by the hour and classes by the seat — both work side by side.
What's the difference between slot and service booking?
In slot mode the customer picks a resource and a time — a court from 6 to 7pm. In service mode they pick a service first and the length comes from the service, so a 30-minute trim and a 2-hour colour take the right amount of the day. You choose the mode that fits your business.
Which languages and currencies are supported?
The interface and all customer emails are available in English and Hungarian, and your customers see whichever matches their browser. Prices are shown in your organization's own currency.

Bookings

Do my customers need an account to book?
No. Customers can make bookings without creating an account — zero friction for them, more bookings for you.
Can customers cancel their own bookings?
Yes. Customers can self-service cancel their bookings according to the cancellation policy you set for each resource.
What is the waitlist feature?
When a time slot is fully booked, customers can join a waitlist. If someone cancels, the next person in line is automatically notified by email — no manual work needed.
Can I add bookings myself, or block off time?
Yes. The admin calendar lets you create a booking on someone's behalf, mark a slot as taken, and close off maintenance days or holidays so nobody can book them.
Can I ask customers extra questions when they book?
Yes. Add your own fields to the booking form — car registration, shirt size, medical notes, whatever you need. Answers are saved with the booking and you can export them.
Can I charge different prices at different times?
Yes. Pricing rules let you set peak and off-peak rates by day and time, so weekday mornings can cost less than Saturday evenings without you doing anything by hand.
Can I control how far ahead people book and when they can cancel?
Yes. Booking policies set the earliest and latest a customer can book and the cancellation deadline. You can apply a different policy to each resource.
I have more than one location. Does that work?
Yes. Group your resources into venues, each with its own address and opening hours, and customers pick the location on the booking page.

Classes & events

Can I run classes or group events?
Yes. Create an event with a capacity and a price per seat, and customers book a spot instead of the whole slot. Yoga classes, junior training, tournaments and workshops all work this way.
Can events repeat every week?
Yes. Set a recurrence and the whole series is generated for you. You can still override a single date's price, capacity or instructor, or cancel one session without touching the rest.
Can I see who signed up for a class?
Yes. Every session has a participant list with contact details, seats booked, payment status and any answers to your custom questions. You can add or remove someone by hand at any time.
Can I give a coach or instructor their own login?
Yes. Invite them as a coach and they see only what concerns them — their own schedule, their teams and the events they teach. They can't reach your payment settings or the rest of the admin area.

Memberships

Can I sell memberships or season passes?
Yes. Create a plan with one or more pricing tiers — monthly, yearly, or any interval you like — and members subscribe from your booking page. Renewals are charged automatically.
What about members who pay me in cash or by transfer?
Add them by hand. They appear in your member list like anyone else, with the same details and team assignment, and you keep collecting from them however you already do.
Can I move my existing members over?
Yes. Invite them in bulk from a list of email addresses and each gets a link to join and set up payment. Invites can be resent or revoked, and you can see who has accepted.
Can I organize members into teams or groups?
Yes. Put members into teams — age groups, skill levels, squads — assign a coach to each, and filter your member list by team.

Payments & invoicing

How do online payments work?
We use Stripe to process online card payments securely. You connect your own Stripe account and receive payouts directly. Our 3.6% fee is deducted automatically.
Do I have to take card payments?
No. You can accept cash or bank transfer, take cards online, or offer both and let the customer choose. Free bookings are also fine if you just want a schedule.
When do I get my money?
Card payments go straight to your own Stripe account and are paid out on Stripe's normal schedule. We never hold your money.
How do refunds work?
Cancel the booking and the card payment is refunded automatically. Membership charges can be refunded one at a time from the member's payment history.
Can it issue invoices for me?
Yes. Connect Számlázz.hu or Billingo.hu and an invoice is issued and emailed automatically for every paid booking and membership charge, with a credit note on refund. Set your VAT rate once and it's applied for you.

Notifications

Do customers get reminded about their booking?
Yes. Confirmations go out immediately, and reminders are sent before the booking by email — and by SMS if you turn it on. Fewer no-shows, no chasing.
Will I be told when someone books?
Yes. You can have new bookings and cancellations emailed to you, so you don't have to keep the admin page open all day.

Your business & your data

Can I put the booking calendar on my own website?
Yes. Settings gives you a snippet to paste into your site, and the calendar appears inside your own page. You can limit it to one resource or group, match your site's light or dark theme, and preview it before you publish.
Do I get my own booking page?
Yes. You get a public page at your own address that you can share on social media, in a bio link, or by QR code — with or without a website of your own.
Can I get my bookings out as a spreadsheet?
Yes. Reports let you download your bookings, including any custom fields, for accounting or your own analysis.
Who owns the customer data?
You do. Your customers' details belong to your business — we process them on your behalf to run the booking service and never sell them or use them to market to your customers.
What if I want to stop using it?
Export what you need and delete your organization from Settings. There's no contract, no notice period, and nothing to cancel.
